No motorized transportation is allowed on the Gili islands in Indonesia and horse carriages are a controversial alternative. I took this photo during a walk on Gili Trawangan when I spotted the horses being bathed in the sea.

The blue city Chefchaouen in Morocco is often called a photographer’s paradise and it is one indeed. I spotted this lovely house front at the end of one of the narrow alleys.

This photo, taken many years ago during my first visit in India, remains to be one of my favourites, because of the genuine smiles those passer-by’s offered me. Somehow, the photo truly captured the spirit of Pushkar for me.

Around 2000 people currently live on 42 islands entirely made of dried totora reeds. The Uros Islands are floating on the Titicaca lake between Peru and Bolivia.

The turquoise lake and the sulphur clouds inside the volcano’s crater create an out-of-this-world landscape. However, the work of the sulphur miners is extremely hard in this toxic environment.
